More About Finca Surá
This farm is a family-run business led by Rodolfo and Maria, whom with much work and effort planted the land, built the cabins and created the lake for the tilapia fish. The main production is 100% organic pineapple, they also have cacao trees, papaya, medicinal and aromatic plants such as lemongrass, pepper, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, turmeric and some tubers like potatoes, yucca and sweet potato.
María has designed cooking workshops with the help of her daughters who love sharing their cooking passion with the travelers, who are taught to cook local recipes with the products from their farm. They also have pigs, chickens and cows (for milk production). Mr. Rodolfo is the one who takes care of animals and the fields.
The climate of the area is humid tropical forest, has a lot of species of trees and birds, which makes it the perfect place to walk through the forest to bird watching.
